We are delighted to have had the opportunity on behalf of Hamburg-based Schau Verlag to translate a 20-page special edition of Salzgitter AG magazine STIL and in so doing support two longstanding customers in implementing a particularly demanding project.
In presenting the SALCOS project, Salzgitter AG, Germany’s second largest steel manufacturer with a long tradition behind it, introduces a process which is at once innovative and future-oriented, in which hydrogen produced using wind power is used in the production of steel in place of carbon. The result is a saving of up to 95% in CO2 emissions.
Schau Verlag, which in addition to the corporate magazine STIL is also responsible for the annual best-ofs as well as the special edition released by Salzgitter AG under the title “For people, environment and society”, commissioned Baker & Company to translate this highly complex subject matter. A particular feature of this publication was the effort that went into presenting this issue of huge current significance in a manner accessible to both experts and lay readers. In doing so, Schau Verlag has scored an outstanding success. In translating this content, we are very pleased to have played an important part in communicating the innovative SALCOS project, and we would like to thank Schau Verlag for awarding us the order.
